I’m Not Super Stitious, I’m Just a Little Stitious

I did the most insane thing this morning…. I usually shape toes by decreasing every other round until there are 10 stitches on each needle, then I start decreasing every round until there are 5. The toe on this sock was getting really long so I stopped when there were 13 stitches on each needle and began the every-round decreases.

When I did this it occurred to me that 13 was an unlucky number but I ignored my instinct and knit 3 more rounds before I finally decided I just couldn’t live with the possibility that these would be bad-luck socks. So I made the difficult decision to pull out the needles and unravel back to the 14 stitch mark so I could change the decrease pattern on a supernaturally neutral number.
