My 2019 Not-a-Resolution

I usually make pretty crazy New Year’s Resolutions that I never follow through with, so I decided to skip the exercise this year (mostly).  One thing I decided I’d like to do this year is to get better at photography. It’s not a resolution, it’s just a wish.  I really enjoy taking pictures of my knitting to post on Instagram and here on this blog so I thought it might be fun to explore that more in 2019.

So, pretty much whenever I want to learn how to do some new creative thing I head straight over to Craftsy.  I typically like to buy my classes a la carte, which you can still do, but I decided to try out a subscription just for the heck of it.  That way I could watch a lot of classes on photography and skip through any parts that don’t apply to me.  So far that’s worked out well – I watched two classes pretty much straight through and then one I tried was way over my head so I skipped it and maybe I can come back to it later in the year.

Also, randomly, I decided to check out a class on Brush Lettering, ‘cuz why not?  I’m not sure if that’s something that I’ll get too serious about, but here is a cute picture of one of my practice pages.  I think I totally rocked that letter K!
