I visited my pal Jill in Maine last month and we stopped by her favorite LYS: Biddeford Fibre. Jill loves to knit sweaters and she was wearing a super cute sleeveless number by My Favourite Things: Camisole No. 10. Hers was knitted out of the recommended silk blend yarn, but I was completely seduced by this colorful rayon/cotton/linen blend yarn that we found in Biddeford, so that’s what I’m going with.
I didn’t fully realize quite how thick & thin the yarn is when I bought it and the fabric is a little more textured than I envisioned, but I think it will still be quite lovely. Stay tuned!

Pattern: Camisole No. 10 by My Favourite Things ($8 to purchase on the designer’s site)
Yarn: Queensland Eco Twist in Electric Kiss
Materials:
- Interchangeable Circular Needles from my Knit Picks Sunstruck Set: cast on with size 6 and knitting with size 7. (Next time, I will cast on and knit the first few rows with my shorty set instead of jumping to the 32 inch cable, just to make it a little easier on myself!)
- Stitch Saver Cord: In these pics, I’m using Purl Strings by Minnie & Purl stitch saver cord that I bought at the LYS for $16 and I’m happy with this brand, but it is pretty expensive compared to alternatives on the market: you can buy 50+ yard spool of hollow rubber/PVC tubing at a lot of craft stores for about $10. I have this spool of 2mm tubing from Amazon and it comes with the cool toggle clips you don’t have to tie knots in the cord as you can see I’ve done in these pics. FWIW, lots of folks have complained that this cord smells in the reviews section, but I haven’t noticed a smell at all. I bought the darker purple color (listed as Mauve) and the material is listed as synthetic rubber. (The different colors list different materials, so maybe it’s another color/material that smells?) I’ll note that you can also buy silicone tubing on Amazon that comes in a little tin like the Purl Strings. I don’t recommend that one – it is sort of semi-transparent and stretchier than the rubber tubing which makes it harder to work with and I had it break on me, which was no fun. 😭
