Brave Girl Socks

Heads up! This post contains affiliate links which means I get may get a commission if you purchase something based on my recommendations here.

Here’s a fun pair of socks that recently came off the needles!  I call them Brave Girl: the colorway is called courage and the pattern is Girl on Fire, seemed fitting, no?

I have been curious to try this yarn from Lorna’s Laces (Solemate) because it has a cool fiber in it called Outlast which is a type of rayon fiber that is supposed to regulate your body temperature to keep your feet from getting too hot or too cold in the socks.  Sounds pretty cool, huh?  You’ll have to stay tuned to see if that actually works out in practice.  The yarn is a little pricey at about $29 a skein but when I signed up for my Bluprint subscription in December they gave me a 50% off coupon for everything in their store so I was able to pick up two skeins of this for the price of one!  (They have sales like that a lot so it’s definitely worth it to get on their mailing list).
