As you know, I developed a cyst on my hand this fall and in December my doctor concluded that it was caused by knitting and ordered me to stop knitting until it went away:
Doctor’s orders: can’t knit for a month until a cyst on my finger heals. So disappointing!

I’ve decided I’m going to start knitting again, despite my injured hand…. just a little.

Then it came back…. ๐
Ugh. The cyst on my hand is back. Time to take another sabbatical from knitting. ๐

My doctor referred me to a hand surgeon who told me this morning that the cyst is no big deal and I can start knitting again! YAY!
Squee! The doctor gave me permission to knit again!

Technically, the cyst needs to be surgically removed, but the doctor said as long as it doesn’t bother me, it doesn’t bother him and there is no reason to remove it. He also said that it is “inconclusive” whether knitting caused it, but stopping knitting definitely isn’t going to help it go away, so I’m fine to do whatever I want! Yay!
