Garden Patch Socks

I recently finished this cool pair of socks designed by verybusymonkey.  The pattern is called Garden patch and I love how it looks with this heathered green yarn.  It makes them feel extra garden-y.

Garden Patch

This is a pretty complex stitch pattern so it took a while to knit.  I found my magnetic chart keeper invaluable in keeping my place.  (I often use a chart keeper app on my phone, but these charts were too large and had to be printed, so the chart keeper was key!)  I knit these using wood dpns and if I had to do it over again, I might have opted for pointier needles because one of the stitches in the pattern contains a cross and pointy needles make that so much easier.
