Drachenschwingen

I’m freaking in love with these socks!!  First: glittery!  Second: amazing traveling twisted stitch pattern that is reminiscent of dragon scales!  What’s not to love?

At first I thought this pattern was so hard and it gave me massive headaches.  But once you get used to it, it’s not bad at all.  You just need to get in the rhythm of it all.  Also, the Craftsy class Bavarian Twisted Stitches helped a lot (affiliate link).  I heart Donna Druchunas!

notes:

  • If I were to make these again I would arrange the dpns so there isn’t a needle change right in the middle of the center motif. A bit of a ladder appears there, which is hard to avoid in the reverse stockinette background.
  • Did two full pattern repeats on leg; only worked 23 rows on the heel flap.w
