Santa had no trouble finding my house this year, thanks to the shiny red nose of this very happy crocheted reindeer! I started this little guy three years ago and I work on him every December, never seeming to finish… until this year. I finally did it! Yay!! Check him out, the happiest little reindeer ever:

notes
- I have no idea what possessed me to knit this thing with an F hook! The hook was way too small for the worsted weight yarn and it was very hard to deal with, which is part of the reason it took me so long to finish it. (The other part being that I’m lazy and I don’t really like to crochet…) The pattern calls for a G hook. I’m guessing I couldn’t find my G hook at the time I started the project, so I made do with an F. If I had to do it again, I would probably use an H hook, which I think is the most comfortable size for crocheting worsted weight yarn.
- Embroidering the smile was a bit of a challenge. There was a trick to it, which I no longer remember because it was three years ago… sorry.
I just love this little guy!
