I am obsessed with using this afterthought heel technique to make bulls-eye-style heels on vanilla socks made with self-striping yarn. According to Ravelry, this is my 17th pair of these. You can explore the “sock surgeon’s afterthought heel” tag on this blog to see many of them and get lots of tips and tricks.
This pair uses my favorite self-striping sock yarn: Felici by Knit Picks. After being discontinued for a period of time, Felici is finally back in stock!
