McGill Socks

Heads up! This post contains affiliate links which means I get may get a commission if you purchase something based on my recommendations here. (It’s an awesome way to support this blog!)

I’m making these socks for a family friend who is headed off for her freshman year at McGill University in Montreal. I tried so hard to get the perfect “McGill Red” yarn, but when you are shopping online, it’s hard. I don’t think I quite nailed it, but… this HHF Merlot colorway is SO PRETTY! It will do just fine.

In related news, I ordered this skein of HHF sock from Wool & Company, an IRL and online yarn store in IL that seems too good to be true with tons of brands, free shipping, and 10% off orders over $100! (Plus free yarn winding!?) I was actually a little worried that it was a scam… but it’s legit! Definitely go check them out: www.woolandcompany.com.
