WIP Notes:
I thought I was done knitting baby blankets for a while, but my husband put in a special request that I whip one up for his coworker… whose baby is due in a month and half! Luckily I had a mass quantity of bulky weight yarn queued up for a baby blanket emergency like this one. You know what the Scouts say: Be Prepared!

Pattern: Love is a Blanket by Marji LaFreniere (free pattern!)
Yarn: Knit Picks Mighty Stitch Bulky in Mint (they don’t carry the bulky weight anymore, but they have this color in worsted weight)
Materials & Supplies:
- Sunstruck Interchangeable Needles in sizes US 9 & 10: these are perfect for this project (check out my post on how to choose between wood or metal knitting needles for your next project!)
- Cable Needle: I love these straight ones with the ridges on them – I’m using the biggest gauge one from the set.
- Stitch Markers: I started off with my gold heart-shaped stitch markers from Global Backyard, but I am working my way through a stitch marker advent calendar by nickelart so I’ve been swapping those in as I open them!
- I’m using Knit Companion on my iPad to follow the heart chart and as a row counter… I’m so fancy!
